Living History Festival
Join us for Educational, family-friendly programming throughout the Park as we celebrate our 10th Anniversary.
Explore stations that reflect historical themes, build your own creation at our Pop-up Playground, and play in nature at our Sand Play Saturday Area!
Living History 10 am – 4 pm
There will be historians and experts throughout the park speaking to the many aspects of life during the era of the railroad.
Watch weavers weave, learn about the first methods of Photography, and watch a professional make real adobe brick! This event is in collaboration with the 2018 New Mexico Railroad History Celebration.

Special Children’s Programming! 11 am – 3 pm
Pop-Up Playground is coming to Railyard Park! Kids of all ages are welcome to use provided materials (sticks, logs, pallets, rope, twine and more) to play, explore and build their own world!
Sand-Play Saturday, our popular Nature-based play program returns to the Children’s Play Area. We will provide the sand, water, funnels, and toys which children can use to play and explore the properties of sand.
