Youth Photography Workshop

September 29 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm MDT

Bring your camera or phone camera and join us for this special, family-friendly, FREE workshop where participants will learn how to compose great photos using cropping and framing techniques. Participants will also have an opportunity to practice their new-found skills in the park – Just in time for our Youth Photo Contest!

Workshop to take place in the Railyard Community Room (701 Callejon)
Available to youth ages 8-18
All youth must be accompanied by an adult.

Please bring your camera and a pen to take notes. There will be hand-outs to take home with you!


Presenters –

LeRoy Sanchez is a long-time photographer and native New Mexican with a degree in Fine Arts Photography. LeRoy has worked as a photographer for Los Alamos National Laboratory, for the US Naval Reserves in Vietnam, for the White House, and for the Ambassador to Spain in Madrid. LeRoy’s work has been published in National Geographic, NM Magazine, and Architectural Digest. His fields of expertise include portrait, science, and landscape photography.

Helen Sanchez, LeRoy’s wife, has been an elementary school teacher in Santa Fe Public Schools for 40 years. In her retirement, Helen keeps busy with many grandchildren and hobbies!
