Native Bee House Project 2016
Native Bee House Project
“Millions of bees are dying off, with alarming consequences for our environment and our food supply. We rely on bees to pollinate everything from almonds to strawberries to the hay used to feed dairy cows. What happens if the bees disappear? It’s simple; No bees, no food.”
Objective: Bring community awareness and education to native bee habitat loss; garner support to increase their habitat which, in turn, increases plant pollination and supports the health of our ecosystem.
About the Native Bee House Project
The Railyard Park Conservancey’s Native Bee House Project addresses the urgent issue of declining native bee population due to multiple stressors of habitat loss, lack of nutritional resources, and pesticides with the resulting environmental and human impact.
