“The Choreography of Us”, by Eliseo Ortiz, was an outdoor game which took place during Currents New Media 2019 Opening Weekend.

The Rules of the Game: Two participants are invited to fly drones simultaneously. The drones are tied together by a string. The first level of the game consists in maintaining the flight for 4 minutes without colliding or knocking down the other participant. One should be careful not to fly too far or too high because the tension and reach of the line that bond them together also endangers them. Therefore, the operation requires an implicit consent: a subjective empathy. In order to succeed, the flight must be carefully synchronized and depends entirely on the fragile ethical relationship between both participants.
