SHADOW LIGHT LENS Don Redman's temporary installation Shadow Light Lens was a monumental sculptural diptych in the Railyard Park. The two marine-grade stainless steel sculptures represents the artist's exploration of creating kinetic responses through an object with no moving parts. As sunlight penetrated the surfaces, the light created an array of two-dimensional shadows.
BLUE GORILLA Don Kennell's Blue Gorilla was commissioned by the Philadelphia Zoo for their Second Nature exhibit. Made of salvaged automotive sheet metal, the 13 foot tall piece highlights the habitat destruction of endangered lowland gorillas.
