Home Is… – 2014

“Home Is…” was an interactive project in the Railyard Park by Artist Bobbe Besold. A chalkboard was installed for 6 months in which time the community was encouraged to venture into the park and contribute to the piece by writing what home means to them.

Railyard Pianos – 2014

Tierra Encantada Charter School Piano Project Students from Tierra Encantada Charter School sourced and, as a community project, painted and installed four pianos throughout the Park. During the summer, visitors to the Park would stop and spontaneously play the pianos to add music to the environment.

Axle Contemporary – 2013

Renga Project The Renga Project was situated in the Railyard Park. Renga is an ancient traditional collaborative form of poetry from Japan. Poets write a short stanzaresponding to what has come before it. The Renga Project was written by 50 New Mexico poets. Each season of the year began with a 6 stanza poem,

Yard Dog – 2011

Yard Dog By Don Kennell. The inaugural sculpture in the Railyard Park, Yard dog weighed in at 1,200 pounds!
